Thoughts on Aging

These thoughts have been heard around our house lately:

Nicholas: "Mom, when I am fifty-five I will be all grown up".

Ryan : (I asked him if he was going to be a dad some day) "I just want to be me, Ryan, a little boy".

Cute :)

How sweet are they! And I have the opposite with Rylee. She keeps saying she can't wait until she is 16 so she can date, and she ALWAYS comes home from school talking about this Tyler kid that Bill and I don't really like...sigh...she is growing up too fast for me. What do I do someday when it isn't a little boy in first grade that she likes but we don't, but instead she wants to date or, heaven forbid, marry that we don't like???!!! AAAHHH!

Enjoy your sweet innocent boys and the fact that they are content being young!:)

This sounds like me more than my kids (so far). I had a list of lines like this for my mom to fondly recall ever after. I stand by the sentiment-- being a kid is way better!
